Sleeping on a Train

My parents visited South Korea to celebrate my 50th birthday. A huge undertaking for them. After returning them safely to the airport for their flight back to Amsterdam I took the AREX train back to Seoul and it was during this ride that I first tried this surreal train-window-view with my iPhone. It had my reflection in it (Where SO), but in the final work, the human figure has evaporated.

Seven years later, two weeks ago, the four of us stayed in (my) room 5 of the wonderful Hotel Piet Hein Eek. This room has two of my photo works and one of them is:

Where, 127x256cm, edition of 7 (2016)

This snapshot shows everything that is important and I will frame it.
The crayons, the baby cot, drying swimsuits, bottles of water and textile bags.

In Eindhoven they call this photo work; Het Modderraam (The Mud Window) which is scientifically more accurate.
