Shinjuku Washington Hotel
The curved white building caught my eye in the film 'Lost in Translation' and made me decide to travel to Tokyo in 2010. The American architect Richard Meier (specialist in white buildings) would have constructed the shape from circles and straight lines. The organic shape of the Shinjuku Washington Hotel makes it somehow so attractive, like a child's toy or an architectonic dress. My muse... This week I finally stayed in a wonderful room (1328) in the curve looking back up to the Tokyo Watchtower
