"For this seminar, we have invited a speaker from the Netherlands to discuss a topic that is rarely encountered elsewhere. As he happens to have the opportunity to visit Korea this summer, we have invited him to the Unhyeong Seminar.
Van den Hoed graduated from the Department of Architecture at Delft University of Technology and taught for a long time while running an architectural firm. Since 2000, however, he has been working on projects involving theory and photography as an artist who discusses architecture through photography. We believe we can discuss his thoughts on architecture, photography, images, and theory together.
For this seminar, we have invited a special guest, Dr. Hyun Myung-suk, who is actively involved in Korean architectural theory. Dr. Hyun received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States for his research on American architectural photography in the mid-20th century. We plan to begin with Van den Hoed's presentation in English, followed by a conversation with Dr. Hyun. We look forward to your interest."
